What the allowance actually buys
One allowance here buys 731,480 EXP, the best of the 6 Lv 56 Blacksmith tradecraft leves that record EXP: the runner-up manages 402,314 EXP, 45% less.
Across that rung the return runs from 53,496 EXP to 731,480 EXP per allowance — 6 distinct figures spanning 1267%, so the wrong pick leaves 677,984 EXP of the allowance unspent.
On whether to wait: the best Lv 58 Blacksmith tradecraft leve returns 811,360 EXP per allowance, 11% more than the best on this rung, while the Lv 54 rung behind tops out at 477,930 EXP.
At Lv 56 this data holds 54 leves paying EXP across 2 categories: the 48 Tradecraft ones average 284,330 EXP per allowance, the 6 Fieldcraft ones 684,949 EXP, which puts this leve 157% above its own category's average.
Titanium Battleaxe ×1 is a Lv 57 Blacksmith recipe, 3 steps deep through 7 intermediates, costing 63 units of raw material and 70 crystals.
Handing that in returns 11,611 EXP and 17 gil for every unit of raw material the order swallows, and the tree needs Alchemist, Blacksmith and Carpenter.
