Crafting
Recipes, ingredients, and build-vs-buy profitability.
What makes a craft expensive is rarely the final step but the tree underneath it: 69% of the 13,602 recipes here call for an ingredient that is itself a craft. Every recipe page expands that tree down to raw materials and prices it, so you can see whether making an intermediate beats buying it.

How deep the trees go
Expanded all the way down to raw materials, 4,228 of the 13,602 recipes (31%) bottom out immediately, 4,910 need a single round of sub-crafting, 4,127 need two, and only 337 go three levels or deeper — the deepest tree in the set runs 4 levels. Between them they produce 11,198 distinct items from 3,377 distinct ingredients, and the most demanded of those is Wind Crystal, called for by 3,559 recipes.
The profit panel walks that same tree and, at each craftable ingredient, takes the cheaper of buying it or making it — so a recipe can be profitable at one level and a loss at another. Prices come from Universalis for the data centre you pick; the tree itself is computed from the recipe data, so it is there whether or not the market board has anything to say. How the numbers are produced explains what profit does and does not include.
