Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Your favorites, server (Data Center / World) selection, and app preferences — including your light/dark theme choice — are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you create an account.

Optional account

If you choose to create an account, authentication and synced data are handled by Supabase. We store your email address, your favorites, and your Data Center / World selection — only what is needed to sync those across devices. If you turn on browser notifications, we also store the push subscription your browser issues (its endpoint URL and the keys needed to encrypt a message to it) so spawn reminders can be delivered. A subscription is deleted automatically once your browser's push service reports it is no longer valid, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.

Market data

Market board prices are fetched from the Universalis API based on the Data Center or World you select. These requests contain only the item and server being looked up, not personal information.

Advertising

The free version of the site may display ads. Google is a third-party vendor on this site and uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Eorzea Timers and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You have three independent ways to limit this:

• Opt out of personalized advertising by Google at Google Ad Settings.
• Opt out of personalized advertising from many other vendors at youradchoices.com.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Eorzea Timers works without them; you will be signed out and your favorites will stay on the device that set them.

How Google uses information from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Opting out stops ads from being personalized; it does not stop ads from appearing.

Cookies

Eorzea Timers sets no cookies at all until you sign in, and none for analytics. Advertising cookies are set by Google, not by us.

Cookie names used by Google can change; the list above describes the categories rather than an exhaustive inventory. Your favorites, server selection, and theme are not cookies — they are localStorage entries that are never sent to a server on their own.

Your rights over your data

You can ask for a copy of the account data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it — favorites, server selection, and any push subscriptions. Email christopher.devito@protonmail.com from the address you signed up with, and say which of those you want. We aim to respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to withdraw consent, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Deleting the data stored on your device needs no request from us: clear the site's storage in your browser, and it is gone.

Payments

Eorzea Timers Plus can be bought two ways. In the iOS app it is an in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID; we never see your payment details. On this website it is processed by Stripe: card details are entered on Stripe's own form, and we do not see or store your card number. What we do store is the fact that your account has an active subscription, so the site knows to switch ads off — that record lives in our database against your user id, and Stripe holds the payment record under its own privacy policy.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal data. Information is used only to provide and improve the app.
