What the allowance actually buys
One allowance here buys 764 gil, which places it 3rd of the 3 Lv 68 Miner fieldcraft leves that record gil. The best of them, Mine All Mine, returns 1,144 gil for the same allowance, 50% more.
Across that rung the return runs from 764 gil to 1,144 gil per allowance — 3 distinct figures spanning 50%, so the wrong pick leaves 380 gil of the allowance unspent.
On whether to wait: the best Lv 70 Miner fieldcraft leve returns 1,517 gil per allowance, 33% more than the best on this rung, while the Lv 66 rung behind tops out at 1,147 gil.
At Lv 68 this data holds 33 leves paying gil across 2 categories: the 9 Fieldcraft ones average 1,176 gil per allowance, the 24 Tradecraft ones 2,383 gil, which puts this leve 35% below its own category's average.
Kugane issues 165 leves in this dataset, Lv 60 through Lv 68, across 11 disciplines.
