What the allowance actually buys
One allowance here buys 1,217 gil, the best of the 3 Lv 60 Miner fieldcraft leves that record gil: the runner-up manages 967 gil, 21% less.
Across that rung the return runs from 717 gil to 1,217 gil per allowance — 3 distinct figures spanning 70%, so the wrong pick leaves 500 gil of the allowance unspent.
On whether to wait: the best Lv 62 Miner fieldcraft leve returns 974 gil per allowance, 20% less than the best on this rung, while the Lv 58 rung behind tops out at 916 gil.
At Lv 60 this data holds 33 leves paying gil across 2 categories: the 9 Fieldcraft ones average 1,071 gil per allowance, the 24 Tradecraft ones 1,594 gil, which puts this leve 14% above its own category's average.
Kugane issues 165 leves in this dataset, Lv 60 through Lv 68, across 11 disciplines.
