What the allowance actually buys
One allowance here buys 1,187 gil, which places it 3rd of the 3 Lv 62 Botanist fieldcraft leves that record gil. The best of them, Coral-lation, returns 1,507 gil for the same allowance, 27% more.
Across that rung the return runs from 1,187 gil to 1,507 gil per allowance — 3 distinct figures spanning 27%, so the wrong pick leaves 320 gil of the allowance unspent.
On whether to wait: the best Lv 64 Botanist fieldcraft leve returns 1,597 gil per allowance, 6% more than the best on this rung, while the Lv 60 rung behind tops out at 1,317 gil.
At Lv 62 this data holds 33 leves paying gil across 2 categories: the 9 Fieldcraft ones average 1,119 gil per allowance, the 24 Tradecraft ones 1,907 gil, which puts this leve 6% above its own category's average.
Kugane issues 165 leves in this dataset, Lv 60 through Lv 68, across 11 disciplines.
