What the allowance actually buys
At 10 allowances a run, this leve's 4,491 gil works out to 449 gil per allowance, which places it 6th of the 6 Lv 58 Botanist fieldcraft leves that record gil. The best of them, Watching the Western Wall, returns 1,306 gil for the same allowance, 191% more.
Across that rung the return runs from 449 gil to 1,306 gil per allowance — 4 distinct figures spanning 191%, so the wrong pick leaves 857 gil of the allowance unspent.
On whether to wait: the best Lv 60 Botanist fieldcraft leve returns 1,317 gil per allowance, 1% more than the best on this rung, while the Lv 56 rung behind tops out at 1,608 gil.
At Lv 58 this data holds 72 leves paying gil across 3 categories: the 18 Fieldcraft ones average 747 gil per allowance, the 6 Battlecraft ones 1,218 gil and the 48 Tradecraft ones 688 gil, which puts this leve 40% below its own category's average.
Foundation issues 360 leves in this dataset, Lv 50 through Lv 58, across 12 disciplines.
