One allowance here buys 438,880 EXP, which places it 2nd of the 6 Lv 56 Alchemist tradecraft leves that record EXP. The best of them, Volunteering with Staff, returns 534,960 EXP for the same allowance, 22% more.

Across that rung the return runs from 73,148 EXP to 534,960 EXP per allowance — 6 distinct figures spanning 631%, so the wrong pick leaves 461,812 EXP of the allowance unspent.

On whether to wait: the best Lv 58 Alchemist tradecraft leve returns 811,360 EXP per allowance, 52% more than the best on this rung, while the Lv 54 rung behind tops out at 647,060 EXP.

At Lv 56 this data holds 54 leves paying EXP across 2 categories: the 48 Tradecraft ones average 284,330 EXP per allowance, the 6 Fieldcraft ones 684,949 EXP, which puts this leve 54% above its own category's average.

Gil ranks it differently: 406 gil per allowance is 5th of 6 on the same rung against 2nd on EXP, with the best there paying 998 gil.

Draconian Potion of Dexterity ×3 is a Lv 58 Alchemist recipe, a single step, costing 8 units of raw material and 3 crystals.
