Goldsmith Leveling Guide

The 140 Goldsmith leves in this guide sit on 35 level rungs between Lv 1 and Lv 98, issued at 14 camps. Ul'dah is the fixed point — it issues on every rung up to Lv 45 while the second issuer rotates through the field camps — and from Lv 50 up each rung has exactly one.

The best EXP per allowance on a rung climbs from 1,690 at Lv 1 to 4,183,380 at Lv 98, but the climb is not steady: 8 rungs pay less than the rung below, the worst being Lv 56 at 379,930, down 41% on Lv 54.

Picking within a rung can matter more than which rung you are on: at Lv 52 the 6 leves on the board pay between 18,232 and 629,850 EXP for the same single allowance, a gap of 34.5×.

32 of the 140 carry a repeat count of 2, and they pay less per turn-in than the one-shot leve beside them on 20 of the 21 rungs offering both. Counted as 6 turn-ins for a single allowance — the count is in the data, reading it as 6 deliveries is this site's assumption — the repeatable leve is still the better use of that allowance at all 21 of them.

Take the best leve on each of the 35 rungs and the Goldsmith ladder is worth 33,842,190 EXP for 35 allowances — 5th of the 8 crafting guides, 14% behind Weaver.
