Botanist Leveling Guide
The 130 Botanist leves in this guide sit on 35 level rungs between Lv 1 and Lv 98, issued at 13 camps. No rung offers a choice of camp, so this is a route rather than a menu; its longest stay is Foundation, which covers Lv 50 through Lv 58.
The best gil per allowance on a rung climbs from 834 at Lv 50 to 2,440 at Lv 98, but the climb is not steady: 2 rungs pay less than the rung below, the worst being Lv 58 at 1,306, down 19% on Lv 56.
Picking within a rung can matter more than which rung you are on: at Lv 56 the 6 leves on the board pay between 505 and 1,608 gil for the same single allowance, a gap of 3.2×.
Every one of these 130 leves records 0 EXP in the source data, and 40 of them — everything below Lv 50 — list no gil and no turn-in item either, so for that stretch the guide can only tell you where to stand.
Take the best leve on each of the 35 rungs and the Botanist ladder is worth 43,717 gil for 35 allowances — 2nd of the 3 gathering guides, 15% behind Fisher. Of the three, only Fisher records EXP, which is why this page ranks on gil.
