Magicked Mushroom ★★★
Location
East Shroud holds 40 fisher nodes, 3 of them time-restricted and the other 37 available at any hour. At level 50 this is higher than 34 of the other 39, which span levels 4 to 50. This one is not among the 3 that are, so it needs no timing — the 37 untimed nodes here can be worked in any order.
Weather Forecast
Replaying the weather rotation for 365 real days from 1 January 2020 — 7,509 Eorzean days across 22,526 eight-bell weather periods — Magicked Mushroom opens 946 times, about 2.6 windows per real day. Every one of those windows runs 23 minutes 20 seconds, which leaves it catchable 4.20% of the time.
The median wait from one window closing to the next opening is 5 hours 50 minutes, and the mean 8 hours 51 minutes. The shortest gap in that simulation was 23 minutes 20 seconds; the worst drought ran 2 days 13 hours.
Ranked against every other fish in this dataset that carries a time or weather requirement, that is the 40th tightest of 348: 308 are catchable for more of the clock than Magicked Mushroom.
Those windows are not spread evenly across the conditions that allow them: Clouds following Rain carries 40.3% of them (381 of 946) and Fog following Rain 37.4%, leaving 2 rarer combinations to make up the rest.
