The Mother of All Pancakes ★★
Location
The Tempest holds 48 fisher nodes, 1 of them time-restricted and the other 47 available at any hour. At level 80 this is higher than 24 of the other 47, which span levels 77 to 90. This one is not among the 1 that are, so it needs no timing — the 47 untimed nodes here can be worked in any order.
Weather Forecast
Replaying the weather rotation for 365 real days from 1 January 2020 — 7,509 Eorzean days across 22,526 eight-bell weather periods — The Mother of All Pancakes opens 910 times, about 2.5 windows per real day. Every one of those windows runs 23 minutes 20 seconds, which leaves it catchable 4.04% of the time.
The median wait from one window closing to the next opening is 6 hours 13 minutes, and the mean 9 hours 14 minutes. The shortest gap in that simulation was 23 minutes 20 seconds; the worst drought ran 2 days 6 hours.
Ranked against every other fish in this dataset that carries a time or weather requirement, that is the 38th tightest of 348: 310 are catchable for more of the clock than The Mother of All Pancakes.
