Fae Rainbow ★★
Location
Il Mheg holds 43 fisher nodes, none of them time-restricted, so a single trip clears the lot. At level 80 this is higher than 30 of the other 42, which span levels 73 to 90. Nothing in the zone is on a timer, and 10 of its nodes sit at level 80, so there is a cluster to work through rather than a single stop.
Weather Forecast
Replaying the weather rotation for 365 real days from 1 January 2020 — 7,509 Eorzean days across 22,526 eight-bell weather periods — Fae Rainbow opens 1,278 times, about 3.5 windows per real day. Every one of those windows runs 23 minutes 20 seconds, which leaves it catchable 5.67% of the time.
The median wait from one window closing to the next opening is 4 hours 17 minutes, and the mean 6 hours 28 minutes. The shortest gap in that simulation was 23 minutes 20 seconds; the worst drought ran 2 days 15 hours.
Ranked against every other fish in this dataset that carries a time or weather requirement, that is the 59th tightest of 348: 289 are catchable for more of the clock than Fae Rainbow.
Those windows are not spread evenly across the conditions that allow them: Fog following Fair Skies carries 73.4% of them (938 of 1,278) and Fog following Clear Skies 26.6%.
