Stethacanthus ★★★
Location
The Lochs holds 8 fisher nodes, 2 of them time-restricted and the other 6 available at any hour. At level 70 this is higher than 2 of the other 7, which span levels 69 to 70.
Windows run 6 Eorzean hours. One Eorzean hour is 175 real seconds, so that is about 18 real minutes per window.
Weather Forecast
Replaying the weather rotation for 365 real days from 1 January 2020 — 7,509 Eorzean days across 22,526 eight-bell weather periods — Stethacanthus opens 1,470 times, about 4.0 windows per real day. Those windows average 8 minutes 53 seconds, which leaves it catchable 2.48% of the time.
The median wait from one window closing to the next opening is 4 hours 23 minutes, and the mean 5 hours 48 minutes. The shortest gap in that simulation was 52 minutes 30 seconds; the worst drought ran 1 day 18 hours.
Ranked against every other fish in this dataset that carries a time or weather requirement, that is the 19th tightest of 348: 328 are catchable for more of the clock than Stethacanthus, and one other lands on exactly the same figure.
