Problematicus ★★★
Location
The Dravanian Forelands holds 57 fisher nodes, 7 of them time-restricted and the other 50 available at any hour. At level 60 this is higher than 40 of the other 56, which span levels 52 to 71. This one is not among the 7 that are, so it needs no timing — the 50 untimed nodes here can be worked in any order.
Weather Forecast
Replaying the weather rotation for 365 real days from 1 January 2020 — 7,509 Eorzean days across 22,526 eight-bell weather periods — Problematicus opens 5,606 times, about 15.4 windows per real day. Those windows average 56 minutes 22 seconds, which leaves it catchable 60.1% of the time.
The median wait from one window closing to the next opening is 23 minutes 20 seconds, and the mean 37 minutes 24 seconds. The shortest gap in that simulation was 23 minutes 20 seconds; the worst drought ran 3 hours 7 minutes.
Ranked against every other fish in this dataset that carries a time or weather requirement, that is the 309th tightest of 348: 35 are catchable for more of the clock than Problematicus, and 4 others land on exactly the same figure.
Those windows are not spread evenly across the conditions that allow them: Clear Skies carries 50.0% of them (2,803 of 5,606) and Fair Skies 50.0%.
